Chinar Corp's KASHMIRUK FUNKAR' Season-III concludes | KNO

Srinagar, Dec 20 (KNO): With sustained efforts under Project Sadhbhavana to empower the youth and promote socio-cultural harmony, the Chinar Corps of Indian Army organised ‘Kashmiruk FUNKAR Season—III’ at N M Govt Boys Higher Secondary School, Kaloosa and Sher-e-Kashmir Stadium, Bandipora from December-03 to December-20-2025. In a statement issued to the news agency—Kashmir News Observer (KNO), the event comprised three categories including Sports Camps, Awareness Capsules and Competitions - designed to holistically engage the youth. The Sports Camps focused on skill and fitness activities such as Self-Defence, Kickboxing, Pencak Silat, Mallakhamb and Ice Stock. The Awareness Capsules included interactive sessions on Anti-Drug Awareness, Hygiene and Sanitation, Know Your Army, AI and Career Counselling. Eminent Guest Speakers from diverse fields addressed the gathering and motivated youth to participate enthusiastically in various activities. The statement said that the competitions category showcased youth talent through Painting, Singing, Dancing, Kangdi Making and Traditional Musical Instruments. The event served as a vital platform to preserve and promote the rich artistic cultural heritage of Kashmir by encouraging local talent to showcase their traditional skills and creativity before a wider audience. In addition to the planned activities, special interactive zones were established to provide hands - on exposure to students in areas of physical fitness, self-defense, technological awareness and traditional art forms. The vibrant participation reflected the strong enthusiasm of students and reaffirmed the immense potential within the region. “The Chinar Corps of Indian Army, while steadfast in its primary duty of safeguarding the nation’s borders and ensuring peace in Kashmir Valley, continues to play an active role towards educational empowerment, cultural preservation and skill enhancement to promote positivity and inspire the next generation towards Nation Building,” reads the statement—(KNO)
